So Glad i get to see everyones cases being approved. AND with longer extensions on their trips than requested.

I filled out my AP at the end of Feb, and Its getting sent out today by my attorney's office.
Welp, the wait begins. Optimistically of course, but still.

Everybody, I' am so happy. today March 16th wednesday DOCUMENT WAS MAILED TO ME. i131 AP request.

Help me a little here. I know document was mailed to me today Wednesday. and i really want to be in my country on semana santa (easter week) so Do you guys think I can go ahead and book my flight for Tuesday 22 OR Wednesday 23rd.... Am i safe there.. do you think by that time i've already received document by mail.. by the way another reason i want this date is because for some reason flights are very cheap to my destination leaving that day. normally $580 and now $306.00 i will buy 2 tickets ME +1 (MY LITTLE SON.)... AND worse case if I dont have document in hand can I still travel without it. and have it send to me once it arrives., ???

I want to share my experience traveling to Ecuador after 17 years- leaving USA wasn't bad at all...Spent 16 days with my parents..
March 4, arrived at GYE airport- was asked how i was traveling and i showed the advance parole( AVIANCA agent) asked me to make a copy for their retains... I arrive in Colombia for 2 hours, again I was asked to show proof of visa, residency.... i showed the document and the agent recognized and said its a parole and let me go in... Arriving at JFK sent to visitor line which was 2 hours before i see the immigration agent... then they check- fingerprint-picture and took me to another waiting room.. wait 30 mins until another agent took my passport and check the advance parole---stamped it, called my name then i was set to go... took my luggage and i was back home less than 1 hr....
No questions asked... planning to apply again so i can visit my mother again in august... since she is been sick..

I've traveled with AP twice before and the second time I left I left a week before the date that was on the AP document, I must also say that I did this accidentally. I misread the date, the date on the document that I could have left was on the 26th but I left on the 16th. With all being said I have to say that I did not have any issues what so ever with this upon my return to the states. But I do recommend you stick to the days that you were approved for, especially your return date. You definitely don't want to go over that date, I recommend returning a week or so your AP expires. This will give you some time just in case something happens, just as delays in flight or something like that.
