Yo bud, I just read your signature.. you still waiting on your DACA renewal or is your signature old?

Old. I was approved in October 2016, but I was out of EAD status for 6 weeks. Roughest 6 weeks. Work forced me to take an LOA. I was driving Lyft during that period to pay for rent, bills, car payment, etc. Roughest 1+month. Not going to lie, in retrospect, it was fun going through adversity.

How did you drive? I am assuming your license valid? because in my states your license expires the date your DACA /EAD expires.

Yeah fortunately my license had two more years before expiring. I was one of the lucky ones that got a drivers license for 5 years. I had a wedding to attend to in Montana during that time, so I was able to use my license to fly.

You drive for lyft bro? me too i drive for uber and lyft. I do it duriing the weekends. the cool thing about uber and lyft is they don't require EAD.

I switched over to DoorDash. While I consider myself a social person, with DoorDash, I don't have to entertain other people. I just listen to audiiobooks, language lessons, podcasts, or music and drop off food for people.

I mostly do it if I have a trip coming up. I use it as my spending money, so I don't dip into my paycheck.

How is the income for doordash compared to Uber or Lyft?

I was doing it Monday through Friday during lunch and dinner, those are the best times to DoorDash. I was pulling about ~$120 per 6 hours - ~$600 a week. Had I done it on the weekends, I could have pulled about $800. You have to take into consideration gas, wear and tear on your car though. May not be a good permanent solution, but it's a good way to make some side cash.
