Mine expires April 2020. But I'm going to wait a little longer, I think.

By my calculations, sending it now until November will yield the same renewal date, since they won't process it until about 150 days before you expire. If by "little later" you mean next month, or even the month after that, it makes no difference than if you send it now. So unless you got some giant balls and plan on sending it in January or February to get a March or April renewal issue date, I say you do it now and at least get the biometrics done so you'd be in the queue. Doing it in December buys you an extra month compared to sending it now to Nov, and not really worth the risk with all the court shenanigans going down. Sending it in Feb is more worth, but that gets even riskier since we don't know what's gonna happen.

My concern with that sentiment is the July 8 decision is on DACA's constitutionality itself, and not whether the killing of the program was legal or not, which is what the conflicting injunctions before were about. So my assumption is that it supersedes the other rulings, since it's a difference case altogether, unless other appeals court appeals Hanen's likely decision.

I was thinking of sending it in November. That way I would get it approved in January or February. If I send it now, I would probably get it approved in early November. But idk. I might do it before then.

Given the SCOTUS situation is anyone thinking of submitting close to nov or sept? What are your thoughts. The reason I ask is im waiting for my priority date to be current, in a few months for my GC petition under my GC parents to allow me to proceed with AOS. So i think it might be current by sept or oct. So im just confused if i shud wait till sept to see what happens or submit for renewal of daca in a few weeks. My daca expired apr 2020 so i do have time.

I think you are safe waiting. Since Renewals will continue until Supreme Court rules, there’s no rush. Of course, the decision is ultimately yours.

Is the October 28 hearing gonna affect anything now?
