There are other options. Dems are not bold enough to take them.

Yes....so IMO We should stop complaining about Republicans not being willing to compromise when our own party is not going to take advantage of having majorities in Senate, House AND keeping the WH in their control.

It's not they are not bold enough. Its because they DO NOT want to let go of the issue. Same old story different fucking day.

I do still blame the Republicans. It's them more than the Democrats that have made compromise impossible. Democrats have started negotiations previously in good faith.

I also blame the Democrats though. They've made many mistakes, and consistently underestimate GOP. That's why, though not always agreeing with AOC, I'm glad someone like her is in the Democratic party. At least she's willing to fight, and call out others.

I'm very doubtful of bipartisanship even on DREAM Act. Even Graham is dodgy. Hopefully I am wrong.

Dreamer legalization is bound to happen. They're going to get it done. They've kicked the can very further as far as possible. This time they will come up with a bipartisan deal, at least on this issue. I see it happening in 2021 some time. It is not going to be through one of those shortcut special resolution ways. Its going to have to be a traditional legislation requiring 60 votes.

I don't blame republicans because that is not a platform they run on and fundraise off of. They have never tried to care about immigrants and they have been consistent in their apathy for decades. They really see it as anyone they help legalized will vote democrat so why should i bother.

I also think most are not negotiating in good faith because there is no need to... daca is in place and nothing really happens if a deal is not stuck.. so each side tries to get the best deal.

The bipartisanship is the only way forward for us but I am not seeing 10-15 GOP senators who can vote for a deal. I am not assuming all Dem will vote yes as well.

We really need a counter bill from the GOP so we can know exactly what the asking price is.
