Go in 3 days and ask for the print out.
For some it works, and for others it doesn't. You just have to try.

Went in the office to check on my status today (been over 4 weeks). The clerk said "The card had been processed on Friday, you should receive it this week. The 8th of March the latest".

why is it "paper"... shouldn't it be... card?

I applied for my SS# literally the next day after receiving my EAD card. That was over 3 weeks ago and still nothing.

No, it's not a card because you shouldn't carry it with you. Memorize the number or write it down on a piece of paper and put it in your wallet. Leave the Social Security Card at home.

So has anyone actually had some success in getting your SSN in less than 10 days from the EAD being issued?

EAD approved: 3/19 (card itself shipped on 20th)
EAD Received: 3/23
SSN Applied: 3/25
SSN Card Created: 3/25 (Date on the card)
SSN Card Received: 3/29


10 days total for me between EAD approval and social security card in hand. 6 if you count from date EAD arrived.

Nice! I'll be getting my EAD tomorrow, I guess I can go ahead and apply for the SSN on Thursday.

To go get a SSN printout do they ask for just the EAD or the birth certificate aswell?

Went to the ssa office today , out in 15 min, the clerk didn't take my birth certificate, only my matricula . Matricula is not even on the list for acceptable documents, hopefully I get it by Friday.
