10 day wait after DACA before SSN - Page 106

I waited the 7 days.. got approved the 20th and went yesterday. I wasn't verified. Maybe they didnt count the holidays. idk.
I recommend you wait the 10 days.. and go on your 11th day after approval, that way you have better chances.

Anyone else told to wait 10 days ?

I waited less. I was approved 11/6 applied for my # the 14th, and went back the next day to get a printout of my SSN. On the 19th walked-in to DMV to take my written, and the next day my behind the wheel. It all went smoothly. Thank the Lord.

Their guideline is 7-10 days from approval. Sure bet is 10 days. Your gap is 8 days. So, no you didn't wait less.

Less then the 10 you asked about.... yes. Obviously you don't get your EAD any sooner because it is snailed mailed.

I wanna share my experience after I went to Soical security office to get print out , they gave my print out number after 48 hours form applying it went fine then I took the print out number and went to the DMV to apply for my driving lisence and state I.D after the check my immigration document and passport they put it in the system and told me we can issue one for you and they scan all my stuff which I handle them include the EAD and make me sign a paper which is ( Non-us citizen courtesy form additional information required to process) and they told I should recive a letter in the mail with in 3 weeks did any one this happened to him

Hey guys, just a quick question. I went to apply for my SSN last Wednesday, but they told me it hadn't been 10 days yet, so they would they would hold on to my application(so that I didn't have to come back) and put it in Dec 5. The thing is that I didn't receive a receipt (yes I know, my fault for not asking). My question is, should I call Dec 5 and ask if they did it? I'm scared that they will forget if I don't call...! Or should I just wait until something comes in the mail?

What happened to you was what happened to me. First , they're not gonna forget. Second, just wait until the 10 days have passed and call them. Give them your name or case number if they gave one and ask about the status of the case. If they say you haven't been cleared, then wait a few more days and call again. If they say you've been cleared then go the next day for a print out. So for now don't panic and wait.

I waited about 4 days before applying for my ss. The lady there filled my info on the computer, and then told me that if everything was true about what she had filled in i would receive my ssn by mail. She didnt give me anything, neither did she tell me anything about the 10 days. Does that only include some state or all U.S.
