I am a DACA receipt for 3 years now coming on 4. My EAD expires in September! I just got married in December to my US Citizen boyfriend, and we are planning on submitting my AOS. I have been getting mixed messages from several attorneys. Is there someone who can help me, would it be wise to go throug an attorney, I should we could use the help but financially its a little tight. Is there any help someone could shed some light on the topic for me?

PLZ AND THANK YOU any help is appreciated!

Ok we can help. First is first, How did you enter or came to the US? Did you come here legally (showing visa) and inspected or without inspection (illegally)?

I got the card about a week after that, I never remember the exact timeline, but the expedite absolutely helped.
I'm totally going to tell my boss to write me a letter and I will send proof that my wife needs me financially

I went in for my medical exam in So.Cal. They said it was $260 if I had my vaccination records or up to $490 if I needed vax. So being a dreamer and living here in the U.S. since I was 2 years old - I definitely DO have all my vax records. I bring it in to the appointment and they tell me I need to retake all the vax, even though they are already on my records. The reason they gave is that each vax has to be within 5 years, and a lot of mine are from when I was a kid (I'm 30 now). So I didn't have enough $ so I had to leave and told them I would reschedule. I understand the TB test should be current, but does this sound right?

Are they just trying to rip me off? Does anyone recommend a Civil Surgeon in the Los Angeles area? If so, how much was it?

I know the TB test does have to be done I believe within 4 years for it to be current.. As for other shots I'm Not sure, shop around for different Drs. Good thing about LA is that there are LOTS of cheap civil surgeons. Mine sadly was just like yours and I had to pay 500+ for everything.

Hey SKY!
I came here EWI which is what my DACA applications were filled under. The lawyer I am currently talking to has been mentioning AP application and we could possibly expedite it, BUT my husband and I are really cautious since Trump came into office. I know it would be a great way to solve the EWI and help our process to AOS, any suggestions?

All in all fees for AP and AOS with a lawyer would come down to around 5500. Including lawyer fees.

I also did a expedite when he became president elect. I only paid my lawyer 500 for AP process. Personally feel take the risk before it's too late. As long as your not going to 1 of those 7 countries you should be fine BUT THE TIME IS NOW before things get worse.. I traveled to Jamaica for like a day and came back lol. It was all about getting that magic stamp for me

No they aren't. Some people charge just look at you. I called around and asked them the price of EACH vaccine so i knew a price before I walked out the door. I was 22 when I got mine done and I believe that carries 5 mandatory shots but I only need 2. 1 being a flu shot lol. The manadatory shots are different with each age group. Again I would call tell them your age and ask for prices over the phone. If you have insurance find out what your insurance will pay for at your local pharmacy ( I work as a pharmacy tech) look at your records and match them to see what you need from what you don't need. Don't be afraid to ask questions it's your money. I called the same place 4 times because questions kept coming up 😂😂

That is also the plan for me, to travel for a day and come back. It would be the $500 for the AP process plus a $400 for the lawyer fees, It wouldn't be such an issue if we weren't so tight for cash. Is it hard to submit on your own for humanitary reasons? I have family members in Mexico, and I would only be going to the border and back not all the way to see them. Would I nee proof to submit and or proof when I get back? I am very clueless to the process.

Any information, and or suggestions would be GREAT! We would like to have this done ASAP if possible.
