I have a question about the SSN. Do people who already have an SS Card, but it says "not valid without work authorization", have to apply again? Or do we use/keep the one we currently have?

Any one with good info on this...would be much appreciated. Please include source if you have one. Thanks.

I think it's easy to assume that you keep the same one, your EAD would be your new work authorization.

how did you walk-in? i've seen a couple of people posting that they do that.. i just want to know since i though you had to go on the date of the appt, unless they dont care and you can just go in like that????

So now that approvals have started rolling in (CONGRATS!) Does anyone know what the usual time is for them to be 'made' and mailed?

Well I filled it out myself and basically my evidence consisted of all my school records. Like literally honor awards, progress reports, end of semester report cards (all of this dating all the way back to 2004), my vaccine record ( I got most of them here ), transcripts from various dates, Foreign expired passport (which was issued here and it showed the date and state aka 2004) and for june 15th I submitted my college application ( I applied the 15th lol) along with the acceptance letter and my schedule which were dated between the 20th - 26th.

Just updated my signature- got my EAD approval notice Good luck to everyone, i'm sure its just around the corner.
