The lady that helped me said I would hear in 5 days. So again I called today, spoke to someone and they told me that since im under DACA, I do not qualify to have my advance parole expedite it :/ is this true? It hasnt been 2 months yet, but I want to make sure I receive it in a timely manner. I want to start planning my trip. What do you guys think?

Ive gotten expedited. The second time the officer said i cant expedite bc im under daca. Since there is nothing written on the books about AP/expedite and DACA I think its pretty much up

So how many times did you have to call to have it expedite it? Honestly it sounded like this time the guy did not know what he was talking about. He was just reading off a paper and kept putting me on hold. First time it was a hispanic woman who sounded somewhat knowledgeable.

Ive only called once every time for the past 2AP dicuments. Like i sAid, its up to the officer. If its an extreme emergency i would call again and ask for an expedite. If your reason is not good enough they will deny it.

I'm not sure about expediting applications, but I just received my AP approval notice in the mail today (sent 7/8/16) and I had requested to travel this week, so you may get it last minute like me.

Here to finish my AP experience.

My documents were received at the Nebraska center on June 20th.

I was approved on August 22nd and my travel documents came in a week later. I was given 2 months starting September 30.

Left to go to Mexico on October 7th. I left by Bus and all I needed was my passport. It was the easiest thing ever but I was confused they didn't even stamp my passport. It kinda worried me a bit because I was wondering how they would know I left after my start date.

I spent 2 weeks in Mexico and it was beautiful and surreal to be back in my home country after so many years. I saw my grandfather again who was very ill, and saw my dad who I hadn't seen since I was little. Honestly it was the best experience I've ever had.

I left on October 21st but this time I left by plane cause I knew I would take a while in inspection and I wanted to be in Houston just incase anything went wrong. When I got there I asked someone which line I should go to and they pointed me to the Visa line aka visitors. After that I had to go to the infamous "room" for secondary inspection. I was so nervous and the inspection officers were rude to everyone. One guy kept getting questioned and kept being accused of lying. They truly treat these people like second rate humans. After about an hour and a half of waiting I finally got called. "What are you bringing in" he asked, I replied with just candy. He said okay, stamped my paper and gave me back one of the copies.

That's it. lol He didn't ask me where I went, who I went to see, why I went. Nothing. I panicked for nothing. I think they've seen enough Advance Parole applicants to know they usually aren't suspicious or dangerous. The craziest thing is I could've left long before my start date and they wouldn't have known because there was no record of it when I left the country. I wouldn't risk it though, and neither should anyone else. Not all experiences are the same.

Not sure if Advance Parole is a one time thing or if I could apply for it again but I would love to go again next year.

Please let me know how long did they take to answer your expedited application request when you called. I called 3 days ago. Still no word. I asked for expedited for financial loss. I'm hoping to know soon, they said 5 days so I am anxiously awaiting a response. Please share your experience.

I'm hoping someone will read and answer this question.

Is it possible to visit another country besides your country of origin while on advanced parole? I'm planning on going to Mexico, spending a week there and travel to Japan afterwards.

Has anybody done this?

Ok. So I applied for advance parole almost 6 weeks ago. They received my application on September 21,2016. I tried calling to have it expedited, but that was not approved. I'm getting anxious waiting for a decision, checking the USCIS website twice a day. I'm hoping I get approved before the end of the month because my trip is supposed to be for Dec 11. Please share your advance parole timeline, from application accepted to approval. I know every case is different, but Thank you for sharing your experience, to help me and others waiting, to help relieve some anxiety.
