For those of you who do agree with him, damn you must have it SUPER EASY where you can have a license, have your own business, and do not have to encounter ICE or border patrol.

I see that a lot of people are saying that the bills are there to legalize dreamers, and they are right.

But come on, do you all actually believe that even if they passed, Trump would sign them into law without getting something in return? No. I hope that I'm wrong, but this is a golden opportunity for Republicans and far-right conservatives to get what they want.

I feel like the real question is simple: At what moral cost are we willing to go to get legalized? If it means making life impossible for the other 10 million, would we take it?

I see a lot of talk here about compromise and how coupling this with some kind of win for Trump will be the only way for us to get something. However, I do not see people taking about the other side... why are critics of this calling this a nationalist move?

The article lists that in return for "protection" for Dreamers, the legislation will include:
1. Payment for a border wall
2. Payment for more detention facilities
3. Curbing legal immigration
4. Implementing E-verify

Is item 3 above why people are mostly getting their panties in bundle? Can't that be simply undone by the next administration where "unleaglizing" us would be far harder to do? Sorry if this is shortsighted.

I love my parents too, and I consider what will happen to them if this agreement is reached, especially since we live in So Cal. But, I will say that I'd rather be in a stronger position of power (e.g. residency) than to have DACA. The former puts me a better position to fight for others.

A lot of people on the left refuse to compromise, but as Fresh mentioned, making that claim is easy because they have legal status. They do not have to worry about finding work or getting deported. For the dreamers who do agree with people like Pelosi, I wonder why? Do you have it so easy that you don't even worry about deportation or your loved ones getting a job? Why??? Honestly, I am tired of waiting and dealing with all this crap.
It is absolutely much better to put Dreamers in position that would allow us to help our parents without having to worry about our status as opposed to fearing for our own and parents future. It's just crazy to me that some are willing to have uncertainty for everyone as opposed giving Dreamers stability.

I hope that DACA doesn't end in the coming year. The majority of us have expiration date of 2018, thus renewing would give us until 2020 where hopefully a new administration takes over. Just in case nothing in Congress gets resolved in the upcoming months.

Same. I'm set to expire Oct 2018 and it's a bummer I cannot send in my renewal to hopefully have it processed before the deadline.

What a mess. But I will forever be grateful for Obama. If DACA ends, it will be a bittersweet thing to have tasted regulated freedom, but a bit of freedom nonetheless, during these last five years.

Best of luck to all of you. No matter what happens, keep your heads up.
