From am I'm seeing on Twitter this doesnt change anything. Great symbolic victory but the urgency and pressure to pass something will not be gone.

Oh, okay. That makes sense.

We'll see if Trump puts them back up. Either way, I like that Trump has to justify ending DACA in the courts. He got off too easily.

Without this court order, if Trump passed DACA/Wall compromise, Trump would win (with his wall). If nothing passed, Trump would still win because he tried to compromise with Congress, but it would not budge. Congress would not be blamed.

Regardless, you know you've been on a roller coaster too long when you don't know what's up or down, what's good or bad. I have no clue what this court order means.

It does matter because if someone sends an application now the worst that will happen is they will lose the money they paid for mailing (applications & check will be returned).

I really don’t think it will happen, I think DHS will move really fast to stop the order.

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...a-judge-333143

“The Trump Administration could seek a stay of the ruling from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals or the Supreme Court. It's possible the Supreme Court would move to put the decision on hold pending further review. Just last month, the justices voted, 5-4, to halt orders from Alsup requiring the administration to disclose more details about how it arrived at the decision to rescind DACA.”

And I think all our energy should be focused on applying pressure to get a permanent fix. Not this.

I don't know how accurate this is, but according to this law office new instructions need to be released within days? (unless Trump appeals I suppose, which is very likely)

Breaking news! I’ll do my best to provide updates, but just know that if you previously had DACA, or your DACA is set to expire, and/or your DACA application would be considered a renewal, then I'd recommend applicants have their applications ready to file but on standby. Specifically, the government (or USCIS) is suppose to release filing instructions. If not done within a few days, and if USCIS doesn't release instructions within a few days and Trump appeals, get them filed without waiting. This recommendation is made based on it being Better to have it pending in case this decision gets stayed / reversed / enjoined / etc.

I'm not trying to be negative but it's still too early to tell what will happen. I just feel like Republicans use any excuse they can to avoid doing anything and they will have a field day with this news tomorrow.

Is there a thread here with the document links? Or where else could we find them. I think it's a good idea to be prepared.

I agree with this. I just hope Republitards don't come out and use this as an excuse to delay those beautiful green cards. That's my biggest fear. Or worse, that they put the decision on hold and use THAT to say "let's wait til SCOTUS makes a decision for us to move forward" that would waste even more time.
