Do I get double the points for having two degrees? I'll fight y'all in the arena they're setting up outside the WH for Trump's amusement in this new era of battle royale.

by 2019 whatever passes in 2018 is dead so they would need to start from scratch no?

Same shit, different day. It's a bad bill that's not going to pass.. Dems have already said it.

How long are you guys going to stay here hoping for a bill to pass? Because this one's got no shot of passing. Start making some contingency plans. You want to spend years' of your lives living as second class citizens?

I just sent in my DACA renewal packet. I'm considering this to be the last two years of my stay here unless something good passes. I'm going to work as hard as I can for the next two years to save up a decent amount of money, and then I'll try and seek opportunities elsewhere... Canada actually looks like a good option for me.

Pretty reasonable bill for what it does.

Some of you just have no patience.

Shit, wanting immediate citizenship, wanting that instant greencard. I'll take this if it means I have a secured and renewable stay in the united states.

It's so easy to take the moral high ground and call others out on their level of patience.

No one asked for immediate citizenship. Some of us have been waiting for decades.. And this bill would provide us another decade plus potentially, for the sense of security we all truly desire.

So reading the outline, I feel like as a DACA holder, A seems to be better than B.
Pathway A is saving 55k from lottery and 23,400 for next 5 years, which means by fifth year, 392K will have a chance of green card, followed by 78K every year. It doesn't seem so bad, since that's half of current DACA number of 800k. Since this pathway is for DACA only, it might be faster than Pathway B which include other categories.
