In other words, it is reasonable for applications that are being sent now and the following months to take 3-4 months or more due to accumulation. That would make perfect sense.

It is not reasonable for anyone with even half a brain to think it is "normal" for their application to be taking close to 4 months without any response (RFE, etc), when the overwhelming majority of cases sent in August have already been processed. And is even less reasonable to receive a letter stating that it would take an additional 6 months (or 9 months total) to process your application when you have met all the requirements and have a clean record and no previous immigration history.
Where are you getting this information from? This forum?

I know several people who applied in August that are still waiting for a response. This forum probably doesn't even make up 10% of the total applicants.

I know you are desperate, but the expected processing time hasn't even passed yet. Nothing you do will expedite your case in the mean time. You aren't the only one waiting, calm down.

I know these may be difficult times for dreamers still waiting for approvals and I know its much easier to say something like this especially for someone like me who's been approved already. But this guy/girl has nailed it. If you think that USCIS has "lost" your stuff, don't worry like that. Although this country's immigration system is broken on the outside, the inside works very efficiently. If you have that stamp on your biometrics notice and it was scanned, you're golden. It's just a matter of when the adjudicator rules on your application. I honestly think this has to do with the adjudicator. There's a very good chance siblings are grouped together. My sister got approved two days after my approval.

Bro, I'm not going into this with you. You can believe whatever you want to believe.

Truth is that data from AILA and other immigration sources show that the average approval time for August applicants was less then 30 days after biometrics. We also see that here on the forum. It is irrelevant that they don't make up 5% of the total applicants.

Do you know what sampling is? On a election poll do they interview the entire population? No. They interview 0.001% of the population and the numbers are still accurate.

Okay, you know the "average approval time"

What is the average wait time? I'm at 74 days after Biometrics, you're at 92. You should look that up, Who's keeping track of that?

Like I said before, you or a few others from August aren't the only ones waiting....There are thousands.

The approval data only makes up a small percent of the people waiting, how are you going to use that as the standard wait time data. DOH.

You're absolutely right and so is your frustration. I'm telling you its the adjudicator. There's no other explanation why someone like you who sent his app on the first day isn't approved.

application: 9/30, received 10/3
biometrics: 11/4
approval: 12/3 ^_^

for the people that got approved, what was in the approval notice? how long till you receive your card? were you able to apply for SS and drivers license before you wait for the actual card to arrive?
What the hell, this guy did his biometrics on 11/4 and is already approved. What about me? I can't help but feel angry. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFF!

I read here the other day an interview of a USCIS agent describing how cases are taken up by the agents. He stated that cases are assigned to agents as they come in. (Does that mean that agents now have thousands of cases on their desks?) Now that might be more efficient to them in some way, but it seems to me that that is not really fair to the people who are in line first. A system where the cases are put in a chronological order and as the agents approve them, they pick the next one in line seems fair.
