I agree. We really have been very lucky to get this. I did not expect on the morning of June 15th to wake up to something that would forever change my life. I do not feel that I am entitled to this. As far as I am concerned, the only thing I was entitled to was a crappy life in Mexico and I am glad I am not living it. I will be patient and count my blessings. I will NOT take an attitude of entitlement to the US Gov. They did not have to grant us this. Sure its not perfect or all that we hoped for but its better than nothing.

That's a lot easier for you to say since you were approved. I'm not saying it's okay for people to get mad or angry or anything, but think about how easy it is for you to say that.

You should simply accept it. So what if other people are getting 2 year EAD cards. Just last year you had nothing to look forward to and now you can work for a year. Any irregularities should not be questioned as USCIS is absolute and incapable of making mistakes on an application.

See how some of your (other members, not 2face) responses sound? Not saying people shouldn't be patient but my god, sometimes an inquiry is justified.

Sorry, I just had to use this an example to make a point.

It's only crappy if you want it to be crappy. I have cousins who finished college over there and have better life than me. Some are in the army or marines.

  • Call Pizza Hut to order a pizza.
  • They tell me it will be ready in 30-35 minutes.
  • Call in 15 minutes later. Umm... I'd like to know what's going on with my pizza, it's been almost 20 minutes and I have still not received it.
  • Umm...yeah, we are still working on it, it should be ready in 30-35 minutes.
  • But I want it now!!!

Well, I won't be a crying kid if YOUR application is taking 6 months too. I can't help but feel there is sometime wrong with my application process since most people here get their approval within 3 months. I'm worry that a denial is on its way. If you have nothing good to say here, just go out and enjoy your EAD since you already got it in 2 months.
