The wait time is ridiculous.. My mom was petitioned thru her USC Dad.. We've been waiting since 1997..

Where is your Mom from? That might be the reason! Most cases around the world have been adjudicated already.

At the very least, you are covered under 245i though.

I am doing AOS thru my mother. Here's a timeline. I am EWI, grandfathered 245i.
Mom is USC
Category is F1

I-130 filed on November 11, 2010.
I-485 and all related applications filed November 17, 2016.
EAD and AP approved February 24, 2017.

I bring it in to the appointment and they tell me I need to retake all the vax, even though they are already on my records. The reason they gave is that each vax has to be within 5 years, and a lot of mine are from when I was a kid (I'm 30 now). So I didn't have enough $ so I had to leave and told them I would reschedule. I understand the TB test should be current, but does this sound right?

Are they just trying to rip me off? Does anyone recommend a Civil Surgeon in the Los Angeles area? If so, how much was it?
Dr. Irina Jasper in Pasadena. I didn't have my vax record so I had to do everything. They charged me $295 since I already did my flu shot at CVS. Just had to show them that. It was very quick.
