I have to share a doc I found which was interesting on the issue. I will share with Ianus as well. Some case from 2012.

Where.it shows USCIS is very well aware of the issue and only really cares those documents were not used to cross the border and or you stole someone's identity or claimed US citizenship.

Yeah, they do tell you. It would be unethical if they didn't because one may infer they are just trying to bilk payment for more services. (E.g. writing you failed the medical exam on the I-693 and making you do it again without cause for payment)

Can someone please explain what exactly it is to claim citizenship? Would that apply to any paperwork for a job where you check the box of citizen and used a good social that belonged to the name, or is it when you claim benefits as a citizen when you're not one?
