That I think is really bad. You are never supposed to claim you are a citizen under any circumstances.

I know, I didn't do that myself. I'm just wondering if both are considered claiming citizenship

Yes, that would be very bad.

I think they only make exceptions for people who used made up documentation. Those exceptions I believe have to be tied to an AOS application based on marriage to a USC.

Yeah I called but they tell you what you already know and say processing times are still from other months, which is not true.

But I made an appointment for Friday at the immigration office where I had the interview to follow up, hope they don't tell me I have to keep waiting.

What about having your congressman's office help you? Hopefully you're not in a red district.

To comment on the packets...

My officer only had one, and it was not overly big. On top, he had all of the documents I sent. Below them there were other documents bearing my old addresses. I could not see what they were but it seemed like documents stemming from a background check. He also apparently had a petition my parents submitted on my behalf when I was very young. I didn't know about it and he gave me a hard time until I explained that I was a child at that time- I did not personally apply for anything.

As advice, if you can request your immigration records, I would do it. It'll give you a better sense of what they have of you in this regard.

Also yes, the immigration doctor will tell you your results. Ask them for a copy too.
