All the info I've seen states the process is "discretionary". I'm not talking about obvious cases like a 33 year old guy applying, or someone convicted of 9 DUI's etc, I'm talking about someone who meets all the requirements but for example, gets denied because he/she has too much savings, or has a good job, etc. anyone heard of such cases? such as a rouge officer who just doesn't like us and decides to straight out deny our application under "his" discretion.

BTW, congrats to all of you guys getting approved! I finaly grew a pair and am sending my application on Fri!
I highly doubt that would ever happen. I'm sure there are a handful of biased workers at these service centers, but they still have to go by the book. If you meet the requirements, you'll be approved.

Just thought I'd mention that I called my lawyer today to see if a service center request would be a viable option at this point. He said to wait till the end of the week and then he'll look into putting one in for me. Hopefully he won't have to and this week will be our week!

I just check my case. Somebody has the same problem. Initial Review

On December 11, 2012, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

Last night was. On August 29, 2012, we received this I821D Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Not sure if this is the right thread but ...

I have a question...not sure this is the right thread but I'll ask anyways. Yesterday night I received an email from uscis that USPS have sent the work permit mail in my address but I did not get that mail yesterday nor today.I called the USCIS customer service and they told me to wait up to 30 days. Is it common to get an email that says USPS have dropped the mail in your address but haven't gotten it? Or has this happened before to anyone you guys know? Please let me know.

Thanks

It seems approvals this week have really slowed down on the board. Last week they were coming in right and left. I hope the start to pick up by the end of the week and continue.

Well, do you have a tracking number?

Not sure if you meant that they sent it couple days ago or it has been delivered since couple days ago.

Sometimes USPS messes up on their part, mail initially gets lost and they find out about it couple days later.

In my case, my EAD came to zip code 92610 and it took them 4 days from there to deliver it, so about 6 days total. It was quite bizarre, my package went from 92610 to 92833 to 92612 to 92831. (It usually goes from 92610 to 92831)

Anyways, if you have a tracking number, try it on USPS.com
If it says delivered: Just wait a bit, they probably messed up and it's on the way.
If it's been over a week, Give them a call, visit your local USPS...

If you don't have a tracking number, just wait....
