The area might become a factor, since USCIS tries to schedule you in ASCs that are nearest to you.
Your city might just have a really busy ASC, so your appointment is later than it might be if you lived elsewhere.

guys i got 2 I-797C letters
one for the i821d and for the i765
i know this is a dumb question but how do i know if i've been accepted or not?

the letters just say Notice Type: Receipt

read it and it says your case has been accepted and in process (I-821d) those are your receipts keep em! next step biometrics appointment so wait til u get via mail

do you know how long does it usually take until someone gets their appointment date?

a lot of factors from reading all info on forums, some have goten it same day as I-797c, others longer, like myself the last update was the 24th of aug and i just got my biometrics, just wait for the mail, and your case status wont show it

Couple quick questions.

First, how long do SSNs take to arrive after you apply for one with a work permit? Also, anyone from Mass know if I can apply for a driver's license with just the work permit? Or do I have to wait for my SS to arrive?

I think someone said on another thread that you can apply for the ssn with your ead and the offices gives you ur ssn/receipt on site, then mails ur card within 1-3weeks or days. It was said that u can apply with the ssn (number) and ead if its allowed in your state and profit!
