If you are approved for DACA, that doesn't guarantee the approval for your I-765.

How so?

People who have been approved for DACA have gotten RFEs for their I-765. The I-765 is a different application in which we have to show economic necessity. There is a possibility that it gets denied. Nothing is guaranteed.

After DACA is approved, the USCIS has 90 days to process your EAD, however, like someone mention above, being in "aproved-state-for-DACA" does not guarantee an approval for EAD.

Their first sentence should give you some clue:

"USCIS statistics released Wednesday reveal how seriously the new Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty has slowed work on all other agency programs."

We all know well that DACA is not an amnesty (I wish it was), but they insist on calling it that throughout.
Oh yes no worries. I figured. Exactly because of the same reason. When I first read it, thats the 1st thing I thought too. That it was not an amnesty! And ppl that are upset with what obama did tend to called the program that way. Like you said It holds some truth in the fact that Uscis has other programs and applications to review on a daily basis not just DACA. And thats what I was aiming for. Thank you for the article by the pieces Ive read sounds interesting. I will be reading all of it asap.
