I'm getting anxious waiting for a decision, checking the USCIS website twice a day. I'm hoping I get approved before the end of the month because my trip is supposed to be for Dec 11. Please share your advance parole timeline, from application accepted to approval. I know every case is different, but Thank you for sharing your experience, to help me and others waiting, to help relieve some anxiety.
Applicatio recv'd 7/14, approved 9/2. On average it's taking about 8 weeks.

Thanks for your sharing your AP timeline. Yours seem to take about 7 weeks. I hope I can be that lucky. Each week that goes by I'm getting more and more anxious and I'm also hearing scary stories of people not getting any response on there AP application past 3 months.

Is it possible to visit another country besides your country of origin while on advanced parole? I'm planning on going to Mexico, spending a week there and travel to Japan afterwards.

Has anybody done this?
I just recently got approved for advance parole for the 4th time and I will be leaving to Japan in 2 days. I have gone to other countries in the past and I have never had any problems with immigration before. Immigration officers do not have any information relating the country/(ies) you specified on your AP application. They might still ask you for the purpose of your visit to (those countries / that country), so be prepared to answer some questions.

Adding my timeline for those still waiting.

08/04/16 USCIS received app
08/18/16 transferred to NBC
09/15/16 expedite requested via field office
09/21/16 expedite declined
10/04/16 transferred to VSC
11/25/16 transferred to ??? - waiting on letter

For those who've been approved and applied in Aug or later, what was your reason? Which office processed your AP?

I'm thinking of applying in less than three weeks, but I won't need to travel till the upcoming summer. Hopefully, it all goes well and I will be able to travel and safely some back.

What is everyone using as the reason for applying for AP? I need to get my EWI removed, getting married very soon.

Im not going anymore. 18 years without going to Mexico and it looks like I'm not going anytime soon. Good luck to everyone whos fortunate enough to go.
Where you able to travel longer than one day
