Good to know that at least I have company in this.

Rationally, I think we will be ok. I've never followed my application process as closely as I have this time, and its always been fine.

No receipt yet or bios or anything else.

What's the timeline for Chicago??
According to the 40ish data points I have, usually Chicago people are assigned a biometrics date that is 22 days from their notice date. So I'll guess that your bio date will be around 2/20.

Did the online inquiry, they are investigating. Will try calling next.

WOW. Thing is, I used the MAF check. I will let them know what happened.

Learned the hard way. USPS truly sucks.

Guys, I'm ready to start my DACA renewal, but I'm still worried about sending it in a) in the Trump era and b) so early (I expire in October). I went to NILC's website and I found a page where they recommend having a lawyer help or consult with a lawyer this time around, but everyone here seems to be doing okay without one.

My questions is, can anyone point me to a reputable organization's website where they are recommending to send in your application? I'm just extremely nervous to do this, especially after reading that page I mentioned: https://www.nilc.org/issues/daca/

You can't base your actions on the affirmation of others, especially organizations.

Each organization has their own values, missions, visions, and set of ideologies. You will find some that are alarmist, others that are not.

At the end of the day, there is not perfect 'right' answer.

We live in uncertain times, and have a window of opportunity. Take it or leave it. It comes with risk, but also opportunity for reward. Looking for affirmation from others to base your decision will throw you into an endless loop.
