Pure madness.
The same legal advice that told people not to apply for daca as first time applicants and also not to rene because they feared trump would commence deportations with that info..... smh
I urge everyone to apply immediately even if your daca expires next year.

I don’t think I can do a walk-in they are really strict in the Houston office
You don't expire for another 7 months. You should not being doing a walk-in to get the most time from your current EAD. Walk-ins are for those who are expiring soon.

Thanks. That actually makes me feel better.

I'm thinking of leaving work early so I can get to the post office before it closes today. We'll see how that plan works...
Well I did mine through a lawyer because I don’t remember the exact date I came in. And I don’t want my applications to contradict information. The lawyer is pretty much holding that info hostage.

I’m going to go on my scheduled date. So I don’t loose too many months from my current EAD.

This Has been my theory. I think trump wants to save DACA. Key word “HE” not Republicans definetly not Democrats. He, wants all the glory. So it’s gonna be a while before both side give up but when they do and they will... here comes trump ton”save the day”. Watch

That's why lawyers are literally the worst. We did that with our very first petition and I still don't know if I'm going to have issues because I might not have all the documents I could have for my AOS down the road.

You should chase your lawyer down and ask for a copy of what he sent ASAP. He might disappear on you like ours did to "retire" in FL.

Alright, I'm almost done with this damn paperwork. Can anyone point me to the list of items I should have for a renewal nowadays?

By the way, the employment authorization form has finally reached 2 pages (I've been using it since 2001). I always loved that form because it was only one page, but no more. Those SSA questions kinda made me do a double take...

Thank you thank you

I'm also going to include the EAD mailer, anything that helps it go quicker, right?

Yes, that can be included as well. I couldn't find mine this time so I sent my apps without it.
