I think Florida does the same thing, and for TPS, they only give them licenses for a year even though the TPS lasts for a year and a half.

today makes exactly 3 months since my biometrics, i knew it wouldn't matter but i decided to call USCIS anyway to see if i would get a different reaction, and i did! ...the first woman i spoke too was having a hard time with her computer so she transferred me to a higher person ( the wait was 25 mins) but i waited and thank goodness i did she asked for my name, birthday, address and pulled up all my info and i told her i know that the processing times 4-6 months in general but i was just wondering if there was a problem or maybe they needed more info and she said let me check and she said my DACA is processing fine but theres a HOLD on my EAD and she said she wasn't sure what that was about because if they needed anything they should've sent me a RFE so she put in a request asking what that was about maybe they sent it to the wrong address or there was an error or mistake, & i should hear from them before January 12 ..

Sense of relief ,even though i didn't get anything, there could've possibly been an error that could've went neglected so hopefully it gets fixed.

I was super excited when I saw my bro's was approved lol I couldn't believe it and asked my folks to double check...haha I can only imagine how i'll be when I see mine has been approved!

Well for now it's still the waiting game for me and well I'm just not going to stress about it thank god for the holidays! lol

It's great to hear that your brother was approved! I really want my brother to be approved soon. I don't mean to undermine my own situation but he has a kid to take care of so he needs it more than I do.

It's bitter-sweet that mine was approved first because I want him approved so badly.

For those that want to know what my case was like and have this similar case, you would happy to know that I got approved with a one year gap. No evidence, 2 affidavits.
