I just found out a girl from a store right down the street submitted her app in mid october..., she had some school transcript, her matricula, shot record, and a letter from her employer...... Not much proof as for the year...since she had recently graduated from school! And she received her approval back in january :-/ so thats why i got my guessing...it depends who handles your case too!!

Me too!! Since we got here we moved a lot of times!! Then i got married in 2000 and kept moving a few more times til i bought a house in 06'

Thats why i had to wait more!!

Butterfly, i think you will be fine .....if u submitted any proof for the past 5 years as they wanted..... But meantime..... If u can gather anything else that u might have missed. Thats my advise to anyone waiting.... In case you get an RFE you have a place to look right away and not waste time gathering whats needed!

i know huh, but pretty much everything and anything i would need i have in 2 boxes and the most current of current stuff is up on my closet.. so i am not worried about that too much. when i went to meet my abogado, i took birth certificate (all old but i now have a new one) taxes (past 5 yrs) bank statements of 2012... school records and diplomas.

I am from the UK and in answer to this question I put the UK but then followed it up in the additional information section to say that I did not know how to answer the question due to the fact that I have lived in the US since 2005 but am I guess a UK resident by law. Now if the lawyer put a Mexican address for present address then that is a huge error.
What did others put for part 1 question 9?
That is incorrect. Your country of residence as a DACA applicant is the United States. How can we say that we view the United States as our home since we've lived here since childhood, pay taxes here and have friends and family here but then say that our country of residence is outside of the United States? Remember one of the requirements of DACA is continous residence in the United States....

Thank GOD I got a good certified lawyer
I also live in Tx (North Texas) and I went with Jaime Barron (he comes out on tv )
They basically did everything for me. All I did was take all my proofs to them and they made copies of everything and that was it . I DID NOT do any of the forms, they did everything . I was very pleased and the whole process was so fast!

It sucks for your sister and her husband though =/ . Hopefully they can re-apply.

I'm anxious to hear more about this denial. Now that I think about it, I feel like if there were any mistakes made by the lawyer, it would have been rejected right away. :/

I don't trust lawyers handling DACA because with daca either you have the main requirements or don't. Its better for you to make your own package and fill your own application because nobody knows it as well as you do

As country of residency

Lmao yes I have been living here for 5+ years while " residencing" in my country of birth

I guess some people do need a lawyer if they need help understanding these oh so difficult to understand terms

I filed myself and from what I understood personally is

Residency = Place where you currently live = Resident = I am a resident of this house. It wouldn't make sense to put your home country and it certainly doesn't automatically means Green Card since every country has different immigration structure.

OP check with your lawyer for the denial letters, sometimes they send it to your representative.

Yeah, that's correct.

Country of Residence is where you are currently residing. Which should be within the United States in order to qualify for DACA.

Country of Citizenship is the country in which you are a citizen of, your birth country.
