Ok let me stop the fear mongering and put some people at ease. Starting on the beginning of the year, USCIS has been "upgrading" (I don't know if you could call upgrading a system that runs pretty much the same way as the one before without noticeable difference but w/e) their system in order to phase over the majority of the applications into electronic filing. Now this hasn't come without problems, and one of them has been the migration (he he) of the old database to the newer system. The system pretty much checks your recent application against previously known cases, and if your case is not in the newer database it will automatically flag it as terminated. Not to worry thought. USCIS (but mainly the PM of the upgrade) knows about the issue and it is solving it accordingly. Unless you get a letter in the mail (big emphasis in MAIL) that says your case has been terminated then your case is truly and undeniably terminated, otherwise it is not terminated and expect getting your renewal in the next 2 1/2 months after your complete the biometrics appointment.

Also, the majority of biometric letters are electronic now, so go and follow the instructions on the letter "Notice of Action" that you received and print it out once you create your account.

Some of you might be wondering "What a minute, how does this Zeo guy knows all of this?" Let's just say I know stuff and let's leave it at that. USCIS will release an official statement after it compiles all the information available and determines a solid solution before it discloses any information (the amount of paperwork necessary for this puts 100 AOS application packets to shame).

Over and out.

remember, for biometrics appointment, is not required to wait until your scheduled date. You can walk-in on an earlier date. But it all depends on the attitude and mood of the clerk working that day. I have done walk-ins for my initial and previous renewal, and plan to do so this time around too

I did a walk in for my biometric appointment today. I arrived shortly after 8 am and left just shy of 9 am. After that, I went and waited a little over two hours to pre order the new Tesla model. So today has been a lot of waiting in line!

FORM i-765 Question #11.

Have you ever applied for employment authorization from USCIS?
YES. (Complete the following.)

Which USCIS office?

Did you guys update the location and date to the service center your last renewal went to? Or kept the initial service center location?

It's asking which office not lockbox. My application was sent to TSC the first time... and LIN for renewal. LIN is Nebraska i believe. Disregard what the list says.

Which USCIS office?

You’ll want to write the USCIS office that made a decision on your I-765 application. If you already have an Employment Authorization Card, this is easy. Look for the card# on the front of your card. In the example below, the card number is SRC0000000773. The first three letters are an abbreviation of the USCIS office that handled your application. Here is a list of the abbreviations for USCIS service centers:

CSC - California Service Center
EAC - Eastern Adjudication Center
IOE - USCIS ELIS (e-file)
LIN - Lincoln Service Center
MSC - Missouri Service Center
NBC - National Benefits Center
NSC - Nebraska Service Center
SRC - Southern Regional Center
TSC - Texas Service Center
VSC - Vermont Service Center
WAC - Western Adjudication Center

Also, what evidence did you guys send in this time?

Last time, I remember sending:
Passport Photos (Which doesn't seem to be a necessity)

Check ($465 plus $50 cash tip) Just Kiddin..?

Approval Letter (DACA) - Did anyone NOT send this and still was acceptable?

EAD Copy Front and back

S.S Card copy
