Agreed, favorable courts and favorable cabinet members are too damn important. Especially if you consider that the only major piece of legislation that republicans pushed through was the tax cut, all other damage was done administratively and can be reversed administratively.

What is your point?

Senate is not likely to end filibuster. Dems will control Senate agenda at the very least. That doesn't guarantee things will get done, but increases likelihood that votes can happen on immigration reform legislation.
