got just over 2 weeks left on my work permit.. i'm getting really nervous. everytime i check on teh case status it says case received.. no new update in a couple months

Mine went to Nebraska, only took 2 months almost exactly.

I'm on the same boat, my permit expires on 1/14/2015 we are now 1/4/2015 my case online says its case received. I just started a great job and they have already asked me about the renewal of the permit. I'm afraid of losing my job. Has anyones permit actually expired with out renewal news? And if So what are the options, I heard of an extension but don't know how true that is. I'm so nervous. I see cases where they filed late and already got their permit. I filed on Time and still nothing.

Mine has been expired since Jan 3rd and my application was received on Sept 8th. It was sent to Nebraska and I'm in the South Florida region. My status hasn't changed and Thursday will be 4 months. Trying not to think about it and just focus on school.

When I called and inquired, the guy asked for zip code and when he checked he said that they are currently behind because the last case they processed was from June 30th, 2014. I don't know how accurate that is because another person told me that they will automatically send an extension but another person says that not true. I don't think they know anything, just reading from a script so who knows. Anyone in the South FL region in the same predicament?

I sent my renewal app 10/17/14 and have yet to get a biometrics appointment letter. I'm freaking out, what should I do?

I called them yesterday and they told me there is No such thing as an extension. The best she could do was expedite my case since it's still on initial review and that they were still in the allowed time frame to process by 56 days. It's ridiculous they make you file So far in advanced so that this wouldn't happen. Don't know if her expediting my case will actually work since my permit expires on the 14th of this month, She said it could still take up to 30 days to hear back.

Which service center? Thats very alarming...maybe they sent it and it got return to them for what ever reason...have u called? They should be able to let you know whats up and send u another one

I wonder why they are taking long in sending the biometrics appointment letter, my first time applying I got both confirmation letters and the biometrics appointment around the same time. ��
