it is pretty exciting. A sense of freedom kinda feeling.
You know whats funny? I catch myself thinking "i would love to take my permit test" then i soon realize that im just waiting for my DL card to arrive. I guess my mind hasn't caught up with what i have now. Old habits die hard. Im still in that undocumented mentality. LOL

Any more input on this? Or experience using an out of state car?

lol dude, i think the best way for you to have your answer is call your local DMV center and ask. More preferably, the DMV center you plan to take your road test.

I also took my behind the wheel today for the second time and I finally passed.

Just wanna share a bit of my DMV experience with you guys.

So yesterday I applied for the SS. The lady who assisted me was very nice. She told me that the number usually will be generated overnight so I should call again the next day.

Today I called them the first thing in the morning. They told me they have my numbers already, and they can give me the printout. So I went to the ss office, picked up the printout, and then I finally went to dmv.

It was one hour of waiting at the dmv. I filled up the application for both my CA ID and DL. Again, the guy who did my application was really nice. He joked about how I made his day easier because I got a good handwriting lol. Then he told me to go to take my picture. After taking the picture I did my written test. Missed three questions, signed paper here and there and voila now I got my driving permit. I'm planning to take the behind the wheel this Friday
