Down on the Senate floor not totally within camera view, there are some serious huddles underway. Graham leading a big group discussion at his desk with folks like Alexander, Flake, Collins, Klobuchar, Bennet. Seems they’re trying to figure out what’s next. @edatpost

Plus also Urgency, as soon as March Hits you expire, and as soon as people start expiring we start losing jobs and the ability to support our families.

The Turtle is about to speak, he better watch his fucking words.

They are allowed to change votes until ALL votes are cast and tallied.

Networks are blasting Cotton, Tillis, Miller, Cornyn for sabotaging Congress's work. Yikes!

I get the feeling newly seated Jones who barely won Alabama is trying his best to not step on the toes of his Alabama base. specifically the republicans. He probably voted yes because he already knows the democrats have enough votes for the Shutdown anyways. kind of makes sense for him to pick his battles as it wouldn't make much sense for him to irritate his supporters just for the optics.

McConnell will likely vote NO, opposing ending debate on House passed CR. He will want to call for a revote. And one must be on the “prevailing” side of the vote to do so. In this case, the “noes.” McConnell supports ending debate. But needs to preserve this parliamentary option
