On the uscis website, the daca renewal part says: "If USCIS is unexpectedly delayed in processing your renewal request, we may provide deferred action and employment authorization for a short period of time until we finish processing your request. We may do this if you filed your request at least 120 days before your current period of deferred action and employment authorization expire."

After seeing so many people with work permit expiring......is that text a lie? I don't understand why would they do that.

I seen that text but he said it was under normal processing times. Didn't want to argue with him since he might do something to my renewal.

Just filed my application 4 days ago. Shouldn't have waited for so long but I did. I hope I don't regret it.

I applied about 120 days ago and regret not applying 150 days ago.

:/
They received my application that same day, still nothing. I just filled a request with the ombudsman though once you submit it it says it will take them about 40 days to take a look at it.

I also read of some lucky people who sent the renewal app. once the current one had already expired and got approved in no time. Who knows what's going on in those offices. Every time I call I get a different answer.
-You will have it by the end of the week. (last Tuesday)
-You will have it by the end of the month. (last Wednesday)
-USCIS Texas is barely going through the August applications. (again Wednesday)
-You should receive it by the end of the month. (Last Thursday)
-Today, same August applications story I heard Wednesday.

When did you apply to renew?
I was terminated from work today,

I went to my local USCIS office and they suggested I email the Texas center with my recipt numbers and ask them why it's taking long.

I'm not too optimists an email will make a difference but I'll give it a shot anyways.

My receipt letter says they got it the 6th of October. I got to say although initially I sent it a week too late, still I lost 3 weeks since the USPS shredded my initial application to pieces and the USCIS rejected the package which I didn't learn about until I got the package back in my mailbox inside another US mail bag that kindly said "We Care".

The normal processing time is 3.5 months. Has anyone had any success of getting a temporary EAD?

I tried yesterday at my local USCIS office.
The lady told me they don't issue temporary EADs when it's a EAD that's issued because of DACA.
