I think he would just have to prove the marriage was legit and not for immigration purposes and also the divorce was in good faith. But have him look more into this topic.

He didn't have DACA prior to receiving the green card

Just got my interview scheduled. Ahh! Here's my timeline for reference y'all

Received: 1/17/2017
Biometrics Completed: 2/16/2017
Interview Scheduled: 5/22/2017

Haven't received the interview detail letter yet - they apparently just mailed it out today (checked online). I did a barebones application (didn't submit a whole lot of evidence), but it didn't get returned or RFE'd, so that's a good sign! Self prepared, so with those who don't have thousands to shell for a lawyer, have some hope

My wife and I had our AOS interview in San Antonio last Thursday and we were approved on the spot! The interview was very informal for us. We had a nice relaxing chat with the officer who was a woman. She asked each of us our own date of births, place of birth and home address. She asked my wife a lot of personal info like phone number and what she does for a living. She prepared to answer a lot of questions about me but she wasn't asked anything about me so that caught her a bit off guard. She was also fascinated with my old US visas and kept staring at them and she made copies of it because she apparently is a "fan" of old visas. Anyway, after our interview she said she'd approve us by the afternoon and I got a case approval message on myUSCIS account. My overall feeling is that the officers already have a feeling about your case before you even walk in and they just want to verify some of the details. So if your marriage is real and you have all the documents they need, it should be approved.

Congrats! That sounds awesome. If you don't mind me asking, what was your overall timeline and did you AOS from an expired visa or did you AP prior to submitting your AOS?

The reason I am curios is because I noticed that the Processing Time Info from USCIS has San Antonio, Texas as processing cases as of May 21st, 2016. That office I am planning to have the interview is San Francisco, CA and that has a case processing date as of May 29th, 2016.

My timeline was: AOS application sent in July 2016, EAD with AP arrived in September, interview notice received in March, and interview scheduled for April 13th.

My parents brought me here on a tourist visa (B2) in 1997 and have been here ever since.

My case was processed in Nebraska I believe. I don't have the document in front of me atm, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't processed in San Antonio.

Congratulations!!! So happy to see DAP old-timers finally get to adjust one way or another.

I'm also super happy to hear that your interview went really well. It must have felt really good to have the interview off your back.

Wow, sounds like a long wait. Glad to know that your waiting and patience paid off. Do you believe it was within normal processing time? I am also doing an AOS from an expired B2 (from '97 too) and just recently got an update on 4/5/17 that my interview is waiting to get scheduled.
