1. To those of you who have been able to get more detailed information on your case (how far behind processing time it is, the stage that it is in, whether it has been assigned to an officer etc), how did you get the USCIS customer service representative to tell you this information? I have called but they have only told me what I know (pretty much what the "Check your case status" page tells me).

2. To those of you who have reached out to your senator/congressman, can you provide us with a draft of what you sent them? I am going to be reaching out to mine but I am not sure as to what is the best way of showing my need in a brief and succinct way.

Thank you!

Thank you!
You may want to read this first,

"OMBUDSMAN!!!

Anyone else's application is past 120 day process and no status change?

On 1/30/15 I wrote to the ombudsman office about my application hitting the 120 day mark and thus my employment authorization coming to an end. (Ombudsman's receipt notice comes accompained by a 60 day process time frame.)

2/4/2015, the ombudsman office e-mails me that my request has been forwarded to USCIS. (With a 40 day processing time frame on USCIS behalf)

2/5/2015 3pm I receive a text from USCIS that my card was requested for production.

http://www.dhs.gov/topic/cis-ombudsman <-- that's their website. "

PS. That post was also me. I suggest you go there before the congressman.

PS2. USCIS customer service is proven COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE. I did my own research, different calls, same question, different answers. At the end, I left the very last representative scrambling for an answer as to why the last 3 times I called I had received different answer about my case.

PS3. I do not want to hear some dacamented republican brown noser complaint about me "ungratefully confronting the USCIS".

I'm not sure if I'm posting on the rigt thread and if so someone please direct me to where I need to post.
I mailed my daca renewal packet on October 27,2014 and on the 31st of October I got and email and text saying my file was received and they sent me the letter saying I had paid and it was received. In November I got my biometrics appointment letter. On December 4, 2014 I went to do my biometrics and the on January 5th I got an email that my name had been updated on my file (not sure what that meant since it was still the same). And that's the last I've heard I've been constantly checking my case online and nothing has changed. My expiration date for my work permit is February 27,2015 and I and stressing out. Does anyone know if I should try and contact someone from uscis for help and if so how do I go about doing that I've tried to call but it's an automated message which tells me exactly what my case says online that it was last updated on January 5th of 2015.

Please help anyone

You can call and ask for a level 2 rep. They can give you more detail. And also submit a form to uscis ombudsman I belive it is. I did both

Mvillaalba87 you called the number that's on the uscis website or a specific number. What does the uscis ombudsman do?

Yeah THE 1800 number. The ombudsman helps you with your case for different things. You fill the application and it asks you the reason for requesting assistance

Forget about USCIS's 1800 number, call the ombudsman directly. Read my story on this same thread and save yourself the time and the anger from getting nonse out of the USCIS representatives.

I found the number from your post. But do you think I will have enough time? I don't understand why it's taking so long for the renewal process when I got such a fast response on them receiving my application and then my biometrics appointment and it's been a month since the last update. I don't want to lose my job how fast did it take after talking to the ombudsman to get any answers over the phone?

Ombudsman, sorry I didn't mean "Call" I meant write to them. Go here directly, you may need to scan some documents to submit to them as proof.

https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx <-- Assistance request direct link

The faster you submit your request for assistance the faster things will get moving. See my timeline, it was quite effective.

I must say, I was going to ignore your comment since I have been yelled at for not being republican enough by dacamented republican wannabes.

PS. Take into account the USPS gives a 120 day processing window. You sent your application by the end of october, still shy of the 120 days. Still, given the fact that the service centers are going past the 120 days, go ahead and submit the assistance request.
