Thanks. Hmm, maybe we will have to call back. The woman who said she would put in the notification in regards to our situation told us DACA applicants could not expedite their cases but maybe that's inaccurate information. Well, we received an email about the notification the rep put in in regards to our case (well my husband's) on February 11th. We had called on the 27th. The email said that our case is currently under review by an officer and that we should receive a decision shortly. It also states that they are unable to issue a temporary EAD and that they appreciate our continued patience . . . I hope we hear something soon because if it wasn't for being able to get short term loans from our credit union and our tax refund we would be out on the streets (in the middle of winter) with three kids right now due to the amount of time all of this is taking bills are piling up like crazy. If I didn't just have a baby I would be working right now

My expiration is in two weeks and I'm so scared I'm going to lose my job. HR hasn't asked for anything yet, but I feel like I need to tell them what's going on by the end of this week.

For any of you that have already expired or will expire soon, how have you handled your employment situation? I know we can ask for a leave of absence but I'm not really comfortable with this because my team is already shorthanded and it would be unfair for them to have to wait for me getting approved (which god knows how long that can take) instead of just hiring someone new. I'm pretty sure we are not allowed to work with an EAD but I read somewhere that you're allowed a grace period of 90 days if you have proof that you applied for renewal within the specified time frame. Is it possible for us to be unpaid interns? I'm trying to find every avenue possible so I won't lose my job or take leave of absence...

I have already contacted the ombudsman and senator(s) today. I have a family member whose friend has some connections with one of my Senators. I'm hoping they can help me get an appointment with him. I know I'm going through drastic measure but I'm trying to do everything I can to at least say I've tried.

My EAD expired 1/15/15 and I'm on an unpaid leave. My employer is US Bank and HR kept sending my manager emails. I don't think there's a 90 day period or else HR would have suggested it. My manager faxed them copies of receipts and it wasn't enough as it doesn't mean I'm approved yet. USCIS received my case 11/06/14 and never sent me bio appointment until I called customer service on 12/22/14 and got appointment on 1/15/15 and haven't heard anything from them and I will soon not have a job as I don't think my employer is going to wait for me for so long. I checked my case and it only says that my name was updated on 1/28/15.

I sent my application Nov 4th to Dallas Tx they got it the next day and got my biometrics apps Dec 9th. I never got a text or any emails. I checked online and says on January 16th my name was updated for form 821 and hasn't changed since..I don't know if my application got sent somewhere else or any updates. My permit expired 2/14/15

Have you tried contacting your congressman or the ombudsmen ?

Go to your congressman or senators website, email them or call them. ( I've done both)

I was transferred to the immigration department and the representative walked me through the steps. You're supposed to send them an immigration privacy release form and fax/email it to them.

Has anyone been approved that has been waiting?!!! How long did it take all together?
