CA DL thread - Page 150

So I had my license expired in 2009. When I went in for the license, I just took half of the written exam and got the interim driver's license!!! Got it done in westminster if anybody's wondering.

I was looking for the employment thread but could not find it, but...
Back in 2006 I had a job at JC penney, I lasted for about 3 months using
a fake ssn. The human resources lady told me that they received the
mismatch letter and at first she just told me to get it fixed. I tried to wait
things out but I eventually had to quit because she told me a few times
and about two weeks later I could notice she becoming a bit supicious.

Now it has been more than 6 six years and I really became to like
that job and the people there really liked me. None of my coworkers at
that time knew I got the mismatch letter.I just got recently approved and
I have been to that JC Penney to shop and what-not,
but do you guys think I should try my luck there again.

Mind you, I will put in the job app. that I have never worked there
and hopefully things will go smooth if I were to get hired.
This is not my only choice and I have put many job apps. in many places
but still nothing. I just hope that HR lady no longer works there.

Back in 06' I only had to give my "ssn" to my manager to get it
photocopied and did not have to deal with that HR lady until
that mismatch mishap.

So the car & insurance doesn't have to be in your name right? I talked to 3 different people about it and got all different responses & the lady at the DMV confused me even more!

Anyway, I applied for my CA ID on monday & got it yesterday. I was all excited cuz it expires on my bday in 2019... then I realized I'm going to be 30. ya estoy vieja

No they need not b in ur name but it helps if its on the persons whos takin u in case they ask where the owner @?

Just got back from the DMV. Finally got my License

No it doesn't. The truck I used was under my mom's name and the insurance was under my dad's name, and my cousin was the one who came with me for the test.

finally renewed my CA ID and took the DL written test today. Odd that the lady didn't even ask for my id/working permit. Hopefully that means 5 years of id/dl for me , unless the ssn controls the expiration date.

Hey guys! This past Monday i went to apply for a license & ID @ the Bellflower DMV and the lady made a copy of my EAD. Do you guys think that i might probably get a 2 year license?

dangit, I looked up the Bell Gardens dmv on this thread and people have only gotten 2 year licenses from it. And I already have an appointment for tomorrow.......

Has anyone done their drivers license renewal online or in person before? Do you get a five year driver's license when you renew online? I renewed mine in person in 2008 with only my ssn and they didn't check my documents and I got a five year license, but I don't know how is renewal right now.

What do I need to apply for a licence? Just my EAD and SSN.
