The fact that some people are already gonna reach 7 months is pretty scary. I really hope those people get a decision fast.

Service Requests aren't to fast forward your case. It's to inquire about your case. They told him that his case is still processing. Problem?

It could be the background check, or they're trying to verify his documents, etc. Even if they go into specifics, it's not like the applicant can do anything about it unless he gets an RFE.

I hope so also, especially those that have been waiting for what seems to be eternity. From what I have read on this forum each case is different and thus the waiting time will be different no matter your timeline. One of the few reasons I believe I was approved in such a short time are that I have no criminal background history, my name is complex; not unique, and I'm not that old. Seems to me that younger people get approved much quicker. When I sent my application the packet was really thin and I dreaded to receive an RFE because I had no other evidence left to send. Luckily I was approved and I am now in search of a job.
