If you want to call us entitled, what do you call your "If I can't get mine, f*ck everyone else, no one can get theirs" attitude?

No one is hating on those who "aged out", but some of us want to see congress actually try to pass something that could get enough votes. Right now, codifying daca or giving a legal extension has the best chance, 40/60.
You pretty much just admitted to entitlement. You have a career? Great, how did you get it? Oh that's right because you weren't left behind when DACA came along. I have two college degrees and I can't put any of it to any use and it's not because of anything I did wrong. You don't think I want a career? You don't think I don't have any obligations?

I'm caring for a dying 80-something year old while taking care of myself and I'm forced to do it without DACA so it would be essential for me to have it to so I can get a real job. I live in fear that my bank may drop me because I don't have status. Chase already did that to me once.

I can't believe I have to quote this to a fellow dreamerbut equality is not oppression. You act like if us worthless Dreamers without DACA dare to speak up that we want you to fail, but it's the other way around. I have zero power here and in my case if I "get mine", you'll also get yours. With you and other Dreamers who think like you, you happily will get yours even if it means the other Dreamers won't get theirs. If you can't see that difference in logic then I don't know what to tell you.

And by the way, Republicans don't give a shit about DACA holders any more than they do me. There is virtually the same chance to pass a DACA fix or an actual Dream Act. It just depends on who's got the weak hands in negotiations.

Seek some mental help brother. Because clearly not getting DACA is taking a toll on you. You’re missing the point, no is saying they are better than anyone.

You seem to miss the point, have taken what I wrote out of context, or do not understand what entitlement means. Entitlement is believing I have a right to something, I know perfectly well that I am illegally in the country, and I am not owed citizenship or an EAD.

As I mentioned, it is about trying to take a different path in an attempt to find new results. We have been down this road many times with many other bills they all failed. I don't recall any scale-down bills or bills codifying daca getting a vote.

Well, my view is that the opposition will call a daca only bill amnesty or a dream population bill amnesty regardless. If the Dems can get daca through they can get the dream act peeps through. If they can’t get the dreamact people taken care of I’m sure daca peeps ain’t getting anything either. It’s either they have the votes or not. The small population bump with going dream act population is irrelevant for a country the size of the US.

Math is there in terms of vote. Between retiring senators and few anti-Maga (including newly relected Lisa Murkowski), we are covered.

The main issue is last minute shenanigans like Tillis saying he prefers a standalone bill instead of attaching to omnibus, or language is not ready on time. Time is the issue here. If they bring it to the floor, it will pass.
