If all goes well, I will be venturing out towards that region come this November..fingers crossed My AP papers have been accepted and now I'm waiting for the 797 notice of action to see how they will proceed with them. Biggest question mark is the fact that my renewal is still pending But on the positive, I submitted the renewal paperwork on time close to 150 days before expiration. Let's see what happens.

I'm curious about the outcome of your application since you applied while the renewal was pending (and I assume you will be traveling after your initial DACA expires). I might do the same thing too depending on how soon I get renewed.

Currently on Daca (Renewed back in October) and looking to finally do advance parole so I can adjust via marriage

I plan to go visit my grandfather sometime next year and want to know as much I can before I file. I know that its risky but really need to get this done so I can move on with my life !

Personal experiences and links to Advance Parole would be great. My only main question is what is the usual wait for getting approved, and what documentation must be submitted.

I visited my grandfather this past May and came back without any problems. It took me about a month for my AP to get approved and it seems like it's the same turn around time for most of the people on here who applied for AP as well. The documentation I submitted was a doctor's note stating my grandfather's illness (which had to be translated ), my birth certificate showing that he is my grandfather and a letter I wrote saying why it is important for me to go visit my grandfather.

I just landed from mexico. I didn't have problems here in lax but in Mexico the airlines gave me a hard time about the ap document saying it wasn't valid without a stamp! Wtf! Finally it got sorted out. Also right now they stamped My passport paroled daca but they kept both ap documents. I asked the officer I thought I kept one and he said no. Wierd. Happy to be back.

Print out an Electronic I-94 from the link below. If you'll seek adjustment of status via marriage to a US citizen you'll need this. You need to document that your last entry into US was legal, either I-94 or AP Document serves that purpose.
