My attorney called in early August, and the customer service rep suggested creating an ELIS account, and they were provided with a code that was likely keyed to a representative account and not an applicant account. I called later to let USCIS know that I could not access my account given that code, and what I believe to be a T2 rep, reset the code over the phone. I used the code to create an account.

I didn't sign up for text notifications for my two previous applications. I'm not expecting a text this time around; just an email.

You should get a notification via ELIS. I did not get an email notification but I checked my account two days after the text as recommeded by NotAPro and saw the notice. This was today. You should however, get your letter with the CODE a few days before your biometrics, even if you asked for it. I had it but it was not working back them. When I got the letter, I tried again and it worked.

Actually I think that I might have been off by one letter in the past. They gave it to me over the phone, and stupid me wrote 6 when it was a G.

I got the code for my account over the phone.. Text and email through the old system and 2 days later it was on my account.

So you never got a snail mail letter with information about setting up an account?

I signed up for email/text and I received nothing. But I was approved and received my card today. For those wondering, my timeline is on my sig.

Hey guys, I had my biometrics app. yesterday. I just checked my uscis account and it says that my 821D has been approved...!!! I wonder how long it would take for the other one to get approved too:O but that's great news!
