That's what my parents have told me. They tell me that dreamers are the ones that should get top priority, mostly because we have the background and advantage of being able to create so much for this country, that this country would actually try to accept us. But who knows...

If there's one thing I've learned since my arrest from ICE back in December, is that if you are not a citizen of this country, you're just as good as dog shit to the federal government.

They don't care about you, and they want you out of here. And they want you out of here fast.

Unless you have a permanent solution to this problem, i don't think it's even worth fighting. You're just not going to win. Trust me.

I feel that most of DACA'ers dont have this mentality...most. I just feel that we need to take it one step at a time - the first step being a permanent solution for dreamers with some enforcement at the border to make Republicans happy. I mean net immigration is at a zero as it is, so the border enforcement would be to just make Republicans happy about the fact that the problem of people crossing the border today is gone.

From there, the other 9.5 million will be addressed. If not, then the general fight will begin.

Basically my point is we have to win some battles, even the smallest ones.

i agree but i find it funny how some dacaers r okay with throwing other undocumented groups under the bus but start getting butthurt when cubanos and legal immigrants do the same thing to them.

but what i doubt is that democrats would actually compromise with trump"s anti immigration plan by only legalizing dreamers. i dont think they will cut there future base by saving a million ppl

Net immigration is at zero from Mexico, not from other countries.

The biggest problem for the federal government right now regarding immigration is the massive migration from Central America and other war torn countries across the pond. Sure, there are immigrants coming from everywhere in the world, we know that. But nothing is going to stop people from fleeing violence, period.

During the fiscal year of 2016 there were approximately 560,000 pending removal cases on the docket, and that number is quickly rising. In fact, it's rising so fast that the Trump administration sent immigration judges a request for them to stop granting continuances so that the docket can move faster through the courts.

The feds are arresting people faster than they can deport them. This is obviously not working. Something else has to happen.

You guys aren't looking at the big picture. 700,00 is a whole lot of people. If we were to unite through common dreads our voices would have a big impact on society, we are clinging to manufactured crippled constraints. Could you imagine that many people in front of the white house ? After all what do we have to lose.

I agree but it's imperative that no one brings their home country's flag to waive
