I expire on March 2019, already got approved also did my bio on March 6, when I check status it says:

"As of March 6, 2018, we are actively reviewing your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization"

How long does it usually take for them to send the EAD?

If that’s what it says, that doesn’t mean you are approved

Exactly! Unless of course, they have approved the I-821D form and are now reviewing the I-765 form (as USCIS states they do), but I feel like that's very rare, never happened to me.

You probably don't want to hear this from me, but in my case this same case status lasted for 5+ months! I honestly feel like it was bad luck on my end.
When they approve you, your I-765 form case status will say "We ordered your card to be produced", and then "Your card was produced". After the latter case status it will probably take 3-5 business days to get your new EAD card.

No update from my case yet. Did my Biometrics as scheduled on Feb 13th. Once i did that my account status reads
"February 13, 2018

In Process
USCIS has accepted your application, petition, or request for processing."

I don't mind it, every day I'm not approved yet is one more day later in the year in 2020 that I have at least. Just hope its approved before its too late.

I mean the statuses before says I was approved, then they sent me the bio appointment, isn't that how it works?

I would understand why they would delay mine though, since I still have like a year left and some people are expiring now.. I just don't want it to be too late like all of us.

Accepted, and Approved are two different steps. First your application gets accepted (Prior to Bio), after they review your application they will approve it meaning that all is left is to process your EAD.

Oh I see thanks. I remember last time the online system sucked and didn't say I was approved even though I already had my EAD, hope it doesn't take that long now

We have approved your Form I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, Receipt Number IOE09xxxxxxx. On March 13, 2018, we ordered your card to be produced. We will mail your card to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Finally !!!!!! Approved !!!
