I felt ashamed and embarrassed and my life was changed for ever. I was fortune enough to find a job when I was 16yrs old and I have been independent and supported myself ever since. However this feeling of imprisonment inside of me has never gone away. I feel like I have been living in a prison of life. I feel sooo guilty for wanting a better life because honestly I have a comfortable life with a well-paid job, but money is not everything to me. My dream is to find a job where I can feel appreciated and not stepped all over by rude customers. The wait is killing me and I haven't even been waiting that long. What got me anxious was seeing other people that I know who applied around Jan. or Feb already approved. It makes me anxious that something is wrong with my application. It's the not knowing that's killing me........

I managed to open a small business and thank god that i have been able to support myself and been able to stay sane. I too cannot wait to get approved for DACA. I actually suffer from anxiety so it has not been easy to be able to get by day to day. Something inside me keeps me going, faith, hope.. Im actually not too sure. All i know is that god is in the background keeping me going. Stay positive try to focus on other things that you enjoy. For example i like to design. I spend countless hours designing things on Adobe Photoshop etc.. I was brought here when i was about 5 years old. So i know how you feel now 20 years later not having a license or a legal way of working i had to find a way to stay optimistic about the future. Dont ever feel ashamed of who you are. Its hard to see others that have it easier than we do. But remember there are other who dont qualify for DACA because they aged out or many other reasons. Hope this give you a glimmer of hope or even a smile.
