Let's see, there are probably 100 people who did walk-ins on this forum, and that's me being generous. There's been about 100,000 applications submitted.

So, you think that 0.001% of people who applied and walked in are slowing down your application?

I think you are missing the point here. It's not only my application but others out there. Mind you there are only a fraction of the dreamers in this forum. So lets do some math here: as an example, for one day USCIS had 200 biometrics scheduled, 50 walked in for the biometrics, that's 25 % that they had more to review not on the schedule. If it continues at any rate whether 10% or 50% increase it will back the system up, accumulated work, more compounding of cases....

To be honest, if someone walking in slowed somebody elses process down, bitching on the internet isn't going to do anything. I went to my appointment on time and in a way, it does seem that the system can get backlogged as we have seen (approval rate slowing down)

But no one is really sure if walk-ins are causing this, its just what the majority thinks. Even if a lot of people have walked in, what's done is done. It's like trying to bring one back from the dead. The person is dead.

So what I'm saying is, okay, the process is backlogged now, so what can we do? Argue on the internet? No! Lets just wait like civilized people and also set an example for the dreamers. We don't want to be looked upon as "foolish immigrants fighting over processing times of simple benefits"

Come on, now. We're better than that. Lets fucking live up to that and not waste our time arguing on the internet and presenting theories cause it's not going to do shit besides creating division between people who walked in and people who went on schedule.

I don't really care how long my process takes. I may be exaggerating when I say it can take up to a year or two for all I care but thats really how I feel. I don't really mind if it does need to be that way because of the backlogs and there is nothing I can do to fix that besides send energy drinks and cookies to the USCIS employees to speed up their work. We have gotten an opportunity here, why waste time and brainpower over the ideas of processing times.

Thank you for your insight!

I got my bachelors degree two years ago and have been staring at my diploma ever since without any hope to use it for a real career, but as of August 15 we've all been given a huge opportunity and I too am shocked at how quick it's been going. I don't have my biometrics appointment until 10/11/12, until then I am going to job hunt, spice up my resume, and go buy a new outfit for any future interviews. It seriously helps pass the time, you should all try it; and this time we're not just daydreaming, we're going to actually get the jobs we want now!!

Okay, that's it. And hi everyone, I'm from California and live in the Sacramento area =]
