"August 10, 2016 Update: If you submitted a request for DACA renewal between February 14 and May 14, 2016, your renewal request may have taken longer than expected. You should receive a decision on your case within the next few weeks. USCIS is dedicated to restoring normal processing times as quickly as possible."

I normally check my case status once in a blue moon, then decided to see what was happening. I was not aware of this backlog then come to find out my case was received on May 13. This is just too funny, i guess i should start saving up to pay rent for this upcoming vacation from work *sarcasm*

Okay, so here's my timeline:

Application received: 04/29/2016
Biometrics: 05/27/2016
EAD Expiration: 09/04/2016
Infopass Appointment: 08/22/2016 - Baltimore, MD

Last time, my renewal came just 2 weeks before my expiration date. I had to submit a case with the Ombudsman and my state rep before I finally got my approval. I'm expecting this one to be down to the wire, too, so I'm not super freaked out JUST yet. But this delay notice from USCIS is really making me uneasy. I can tell based on the posts here that the approvals are pretty random, and I'm kicking myself for not just submitting right at 150 days instead of trying to avoid too much EAD overlap -.-

The shitty thing is that I live in Los Angeles, but I'm in Maryland for the month of August for work. So I have to travel an hour in the morning to Baltimore just to go to this Infopass appointment. I would feel more comfortable dealing with this crap if I was back home in a familiar environment.

After work today, I'm going to go through all the steps that NILC listed here.

I called the customer service this morning and they said that the wait time is 180 days so until then I can't do anything which is stupid. I don't understand why people that did it way after are getting approved before the people that have expiring ones. I mean I am very happy you guys got approved but a lot of people have expiring EAD.

Application received: 04/04/2016
Biometrics: 04/28/2016
EAD Expiration: 09/04/2016
Nothing about my application yet.

Yes, this is very common and they are all over the place. I had the same situation, secondly from 8-10-16 to 8-12-06 on the case status check my application showed as card in production, however starting 8-13-16 it says case approved 8-5-16 and information sent in mail. When i check my elis account on 8-13-16 it says card produced and mailed.Hopefully will receive soon...Please hang in there

USCIS added a new set of processing time info for the different service centers. The information is as of 6/30/2016. Here is the info for the service centers:
  1. CSC - 6 months (doesn't specify whether for initial or renewal)
  2. NSC - 6 months for initial, 106 days for renewal
  3. TSC - 252 days for initial, 3.5 months for renewal
  4. VSC - 6 months for initial, 106 days for renewal

EDIT: Since everyone keeps asking, here's my source.
