i understand the need to prolly join the military as a financial means, but to see it as paying back the country that uprooted you and your family from your homeland through economic means is a really narrow view.

USMC here i come, i know some people said they wouldnt serve the military. but for me its a way to pay this country back (for better or for worse) without a military there would be no freedom that we are all seeking.
AGREE.. REALLY HOPE IT PASSES.. IT WOULD CHANGE MY LIFE VERY MUCH... MOST LIKLEY GO TO THE AIRFORCE OR ARMY, FINISH SCHOOL AND PLAY BALL FOR THEM

How is it a narrow view to try and do something to repay this country that has treated you better than your home country. I highly doubt that if you would have been in your home country you would have had the same opportunities as here. Ok so you don't have full benefits yet, but it is still better than most other countries many of us came from.
