That was until Rojas found out he needed to pay extra fees to attend Davis because he is an undocumented student.
"I'm already poor as it is, and the school is charging me an extra fee to attend cause I'm not a citizen," Rojas said. "So first of all, I can't pay $20,000 a year, plus extra fees. That's impossible for me."
California has the AB540 program where undocumented students are charged in-state student tuition rates. He still thinks he'll be charged as an international student for being undocumented, but that is simply not the case. Someone needs to break the news to him.
