yeah unfortunately in Florida instate tuition is still a dream.

I can't marry him in Florida because I need a valid DL and mine is expired. ,

Thank you guys, I am already looking for jobs in Mexico so that when I get there I will be ready and not waste my time meanwhile I get my visa.

I heard that if you do the K1 fiancee visa route its much faster than if you marry first and file I-130. My cousin is currently in Mexico waiting for an his visa. He had his interview on Wed and is not waiting to get an answer to see if his waiver was approved. He went through the K1 route and the whole process took him like 6 months.

I actually got married in Texas..

Floridagirl, there are lots if people that get married with a DL in FL. Did you try using your passport? If the county you are in doesn't allow it, try another county. Don't give up!! I'm not sure if the fiancé process is more beneficial or not, but if you want to get married, don't take "no" for an answer.

Good luck on going back. I will also be going back soon, probably in May. Where are you going to be staying in Mexico? Have you started the process yet? If you visit Mexico City, let me know. We can meet up. That's where I will be.

My husband filed a petition for me, so I'm going back to apply for residency. Hopefully, I'll get to come back.
