For Dream Act : Probably $10K to pay instate tuition at your local community college.

For "Green Cards for US STEM graduate degree holders" : I think I paid $40K of my own money to finish US college and graduate school. I was paying essentially "in-state" because I was getting a merits based full-ride scholarship for instate tuition students(But since I was out of state, so I had to pay the difference). But you have to spend 6 years of your life studying the hardest subjects days and nights, while your US citizen friends are partying all night.

I think they were asking with regards to DA...fines, paperwork for proof, etc...

Yup, I think it'll be very strict too. I remember that back in 2007 Sen. Hutchison (R-TX) planned to amend the Dream Act to give Dreamers international student visa instead of conditional green card.

Would "DA" also work for the Marine reserve or is it just for active duty?

How come GOP has the least opposition to that Stem bill ? I mean aren't these the guys that hate anything undocumented.

No, STEMers are legal immigrants who languish in H-1B/EB-2/3 waiting game for years along with high school dropouts from Mexico sponsored by US relatives.

GOP doesn't oppose no-quota green card processing for STEMers since STEMers are the best educated immigrants in fields considered to be of a strategic importance by the US congress.

Other countries would accelerate green card processing for STEMers, but not the US. The US Congress sees a flaw in this situation and is trying to remedy this.
