For me it sounds like the kind of actions we should begin to take. Some of us will get into serious problems but at the end thousands some day will harvest the fruits of our fights.

But what ever we do, we should stop those calls, those faxes and begin to do things that really matter.
We live here, this is also our land now and centuries ago.
Those guys in Congress don't like us, they don't like our people.
I'll fight, but this time I won't pretend to be nice.

I am sorry but this is a stupid idea, unless you totally give up staying here. They will be happy to deport all. You think GOP members have no heart? These guys could be even worse.

ICE spends huge money and resources on searching undocumented people.

What you suggested would help them very efficiently and economically.

Unless you want a free plane ticket....

That seems like a much better plan. It worked for DADT.

I don't understand the point of this thread. Whoever wants to leave (after this DA failure) will leave on their own time and of their own volition. Many people have given up on DREAM and CIR passing and have left quietly. Having a large number of illegal immigrants leave en masse will make it look like a good thing that DA and CIR haven't been passed. Don't you know people do not want us here? No American's gonna cry over any of us leaving, trust.

I guess it must of seemed like a silly idea when Ghandi convinced millions of people to just sit down in the streets and not go to work. Today India is a free democratic nation. Must of seemed like a silly crazy idea when Martin Luther King convinced people to march into tear gas, dogs and crazy southern cops beating their heads in. Today we have civil rights act. What is silly is to keep depending on the political process that doesn't respond to your civil rights.

Thing is this is a different situation.

All those Indians didn't have to fear about being deported because they were citizens. It was their home.

All the black people during King's era were all citizens because they were born here. It was their home.

You can fight for your freedom until your death but what can you do if you get deported? Sorry, once you are gone, you are gone. We wanna say this is our home but truth is that it isn't. You can't fight for your right when you are kicked out. It is sorta like kamikaze movement.

If this is to be taken really serious, there will be many victims for future generations. Are you willing to be one of those victims? I know most of us are not. Just like some people suggested, it would be better to leave quietly.

At the end, if you do not declare it, they won't know what is your country, then you won't be deportable.

Try it. I am sure the government is happy about it.
In fact, the whole country would love to see mass self-deportation.
It's costly. But it's once. Everyone will love it.
