Economics. Financial aid = degree = higher income = higher taxes

Govt pays financial aid for 4-8 years, students get an education, earn higher pay, GOVERNMENT EARNS MORE TAXES OVER THE PERSONS ENTIRE LIFETIME

Aside from the tax profit, there's another benefit: +++ personal income = --- social security services used.

This is how government can make money off of illegal immigrants.

That data only pertains to legal immigrants. Let's say an ILLEGAL graduated in Harvard, does he/she automatically gets a HIGH paying job and an SSN after? The answer is a simple no, instead, individuals like that are way better off going back and spending their hard earned degree there. Therefor handing ILLEGALS financial aid doesn't do anything to stimulate the economy but rather add to the deficit. I can understand the benefit of it for legals but not for illegals.

Now if the DA did pass it would've been a different story...

I'm sorry I don't agree with you its just that I don't see the point of it but purely to help ILLEGALS get free money for school. ( WHICH IS STILL A GREAT THING )

For DREAM Act students, it's one third humanitarian gesture (public relations boost), one third Hispanic vote, and final third banking on DREAMers legalizing, either en masse via DREAM Act/CIR, by marriage or a fourth option: making big money without having an SSN/work authorization and paying taxes.

Many liberals who are banking on open borders, globalization, the new international economy etc are speculating on DREAM Act beneficiaries to succeed regardless. Ironic.

All in all, I think it could very plausibly be a net benefit.

A net benefit in the long run! Social Security seems like a scam to me. Pensions sound way better. WTF is up with taking money from the younger people for the ones that need it later? Pffff! Perhaps if instead of giving out Welfare and Unemployment, they gave out interest free loans, some states wouldn't be in such a shit hole.
